August 29, 2011

Former Razorfish exec Alyson Hyder has joined VivaKi’s Nerve Center team to take on the role of Vice President, Director of VivaKi Ventures. She assumes the role from Sean Kegelman, who continues to lead Partnerships for the Nerve Center.
Hyder will drive overall strategy and execution for the expanding VivaKi Ventures portfolio. She will work closely with VivaKi agency category leaders as well as the product and development teams inside of the Nerve Center to seek out the best emerging opportunities that align with VivaKi’s broader business strategy and core areas of focus, which include data platforms, mobile, social and video.
Prior to joining VivaKi, Hyder was Vice President of Digital Media and Marketing for Razorfish, where she oversaw the global media portfolio and spend for clients such as Best Buy, Disney, Miller Coors, Nike and Weight Watchers. She also helped maintain Razorfish’s digital leadership position by taking an active role in identifying consumer trends and key opportunities for unique growth and driving innovation within digital channels. She began her career with aQuantive in 1999 and led media teams within Avenue A and aQuantive’s DRIVE Performance Media.
“The pace of change requires us to explore a multitude of new approaches and innovations, and we believe having more eyes on the future is the smartest way to lead our clients to it,” said Hyder. “My proximity to Silicon Valley and its growing start-ups and tech providers is a tremendous vantage point for spotting tomorrow’s solutions and delivering them to our agencies and their clients.”
The first practice of its kind, VivaKi Ventures is an outgrowth of the ventures unit launched by Denuo in 2006. It was re-launched in 2008 as a key component of the Nerve Center.
